In 1855, my great-great-grandfather Robert Thornley left England to start a new life in the United States, where he founded the town of Smithfield, Utah, and put the animal husbandry skills he learned as a young man to work as a country vet.
In 1995, working with other equine professionals, I combined that old-fashioned common sense with the science of equine nutrition to create Dr. Thornley’s™ Hay Balancer™. For more than 20 years my clients have been using Hay Balancer for everything from family trail horses to world champion performance horses, all with remarkable results.
